Fire Retardant Coatings

TorchOut Fire Retardant Latex Paint

Many lives could be saved per year using Torchout Fire Retardant Coatings. We urge you to do your homework on fire retardant coatings and determine if the $10.00 difference of a gallon is worth the added safety that Torchout can provide. The extra time of a Class A fire retardant coating may give families the time needed to get out of a burning bedroom, home, building, and hopefully more time for the brave firemen to reach anyone inside to get them outside to safety.

Our Fire Retardant Coatings price structure and choice of colors is second to none. We are very proud of the fact that we can sell class “A” fire retardant coatings at a very low, inexpensive price than our competitors.

DESCRIPTION: TorchOut is a intumescent type, Class-A fire retardant coating designed for use on interior surfaces as a primer or finishing paint. TorchOut will put a barrier between the fire and substrate you intend to protect such as wood, drywall or existing waterbase paints. TorchOut can also be used on the exterior as a primer ONLY. When TorchOut is exposed to heat or flames, the coating will blister up and form a foam barrier protecting the under surface from being damaged from the fire. TorchOut also has a VERY LOW smoke development (25) and a 0-5 FLAME SPREAD We also believe in formulating environmentally safe coating and developed TorchOut with a 0-5 VOC rating.

COLORS: TorchOut can be made in any color needed. TorchOut comes standard in white but we can match any color under the rainbow. We have a variety of colors and we can match any manufacturers color palette, just let us know the name and code number. You can also mail us a chip, piece of fabric or any item that we can match for your particular needs.

SURFACE PREPERATION: All surfaces must be free of dirt, dust, wax or oils before applying TorchOut. We suggest lightly sanding any existing gloss painted surface before the application of TorchOut. Surfaces such as a matte painted surface, drywall or masonry do not need to be primered. For NEW WOOD, we suggest using an ALKYD PRIMER before applying TorchOut that you can purchase at your local paint store.

SUGGESTED COVERAGE: You will get between 150 and 180 SQ. Ft. per gallon with TWO coats. Two coats are highly suggested to meet the testing results.

THINNING: Can be thinned with water up to 5%, but we highly recommend not to thin at all. You can clean your equipment or skin with warm soapy water.

DRYING TIME: Dries to touch in 30 to 45 minutes, can be re-coated in 2 hours.
